A trip to the ostrich farm (29.09.2011 r.)
Another year has begun at the preschool ... new faces are appearing in the kindergarten; not only children, but aunties as well! We have also gone on our first field trip. This time, we got to go to the Ostrich Farm. To our surprise, there were not only ostriches, but other animals such as emus, fallow deer, peacocks, goats, and peacocks, whose feet were all feathered :) Although the weather was not very nice, our moods were as good as possible. A tour guide escorted us around the whole farm, and told all the details about the animals. I was surprised to hear that most dangerous parts of the ostrich are the feet and beak, and that you should not have something higher than them when visiting, because then they will be afraid of us. We also got to feed the animals that eat grass. The guide and our aunties let us sit on a pony too, and this moment has been immortalized in our photograph ... the nice pony, Mina, seemed to be pleased with this visit from the children.
